Welcome to Heartland's Shepherds and thank you for visiting my website. I am located in Central Florida in the city of Avon Park. I am located about 80 miles  south of Orlando and about 145 miles north of Miami.

Here at Heartland's Shepherds there is 10 acres of open fields  for our long walks. The kennels are always clean and well looked after to promote clean healthy dogs.

I have  been raising and breeding German Shepherds for the past fifteen years and there is no better companion or working dog. I've always strived to give my dogs a loving family environment in a natural country setting, and all of my dogs are valued family members. Once they are retired they remain here with me to live out their natural lives. Raising my dogs is a hobby. It is not a business or a large kennel and I only breed and focus all of my attention on the German Shepherd dog.

My goal in breeding is to improve the breed by producing quality German Shepherds who will be loyal companions, able to work and to be protective friends. They should also be mentally healthy, physically sound, intelligent, and have lots of character and personality.
They are seen regularly by my local vet and are fed a good quality dry food incorporated with some raw feeding The dogs will have his/her hips x-rayed and hips certified by BVA and elbows reviewed by OFA..

I register my dogs and puppies with the American Kennel Club (AKC) . The puppies will have their first inoculations between 7 and 8 weeks of age, and will be dewormed at least once and possibly twice, all given by my vet. The puppies will come with a two (2) year genetics guarantee.
